Alles in allem war das Hostel gut. Die Angestellten waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und sauber. Allerdings liegt das Hostel direkt neben einer Disko, die auch bis früh am Morgen läuft. Unser Zimmer lag auf der Seite der Disko, weshalb wir (als Leichtschläfer) nicht schlafen konnten. Die Kehrseite ist wiederum, dass man direkt im Stadtzentrum ist und von vielen Geschäften umgeben ist. Das Leitungswasser hat allerdings ziemlich nach Sand geschmeckt

This was mine and my daughters first trip to New Plymouth and staying at a backpackers. Rob made us and our stay so welcoming and homely. Robs knowledge of where to park and whats happening in the area was perfect. Definitely recommend Ariki backpackers. We hope one day to come back!

Boho vibes inside, fun laid back energy but very clean and tidy at the same time! We also had a bathroom in our room which was so nice. The staff were exceptionally friendly, both with activity recommendations and with saying hello and striking up conversation. Located by the wind rod which was whimsical and easy to navigate back to the hostel after adventuring.

Zu Beginn unserer Neuseelandreise waren wir für 2 Nächte dort. Ariki Backpackers liegt sehr zentral und sehr nah am Meer & dem Coastal Walkway. Das Management ist sehr herzlich und willkommend. Das Hostal hat eine gut ausgestattete Küche, der En Suite Room Queen Anne war geräumig, hatte ein eigenes Badezimmer, sehr sauber, das Bett super bequem! Wir können die Ariki Backpackers empfehlen und werden wieder dort übernachten.

The location is perfect--right across from the beach and near many places to eat and drink. I usually stay here when I have to catch a plane the next morning. The rooms are very clean. The bathrooms are shared but they're always clean.

This is an excellent backpacker - even in a country where many hostels are really high standard, this one is a stand out. The owners couldn't be more hospitable and the roof terrace with stunning sea views is icing on the cake. I think improvements are in progress - so it will get even better.

The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly. The community rooms were amazing and full of nice people. It has carpets all over the place so if you go to the bathroom with socks at night you will feel like home. Plus there is a giant blackboard in the hall where you can draw stuff so yeah go there...

Wow! This place is the perfect location here in town. Right near the Puki Ariki and Coastal Walkway. Within walking distance of everything and free parking in the city from 5pm and on Sundays. I'm on a road trip around New Zealand and this was a great place to start my trip off in
